Company Description

The intention, at first, was simply to supply the oil fields with tenoned blocking for oilfield rig mats, timbers for pipeline skidding and access mats; however, it turned into much more. When the oil fields began to slow down, Pacific Timber’s attention turned to exports. The demand from Asian markets picked up, and the company began to refine the Burns Lake plant for the export business. In 2014, Sheraton Sawmill was purchased and revamped to handle oversized log processing and in 2017, the recently purchased Houston plant became operational – Houston is Pacific Timber’s largest plant and now employees about 35 people.
